House sales in February were down 9.5% nationally from a year ago, from 6576 to 5954, the Real Estate Institute said yesterday.
Barfoot & Thompson managing director Peter Thompson said yesterday Auckland house sales in February were at their lowest monthly level since the height of the global financial crisis in December 2008.
Auckland real estate agency Barfoot & Thompson’s average & median house sale prices slipped in January to start the year slightly lower than in 2018, after picking up in the last few months.
House sales in December fell to their lowest level for that month in 7 years, the Real Estate Institute said today.
Barfoot & Thompson house sales fell 8% from June to July and the average price dipped slightly. Compared to a year ago, however, both figures were ahead.
The Real Estate Institute said today house sales nationally were 6.6% higher in April than a year ago.
