Both average & median prices for homes sold through Barfoot & Thompson in May were stuck in narrow grooves. Sales were up compared to recent months, but still well below the level a year ago.
Barfoot & Thompson director Kiri Barfoot said in the agency’s monthly market report yesterday that, while uncertainty plagued the Auckland residential market and affected sale numbers, prices of those properties that did sell remained rock solid.
The Real Estate Institute said today home sales nationally were down 12.9% in March compared to a year ago.
