Melbourne developer 94 Feet Property Group Pty Ltd has completed demolition & enabling works to start on its first NZ investment, the 41-storey, 225-room Indigo Hotel & luxury apartments at 51-53 Albert St in downtown Auckland.
Construction company Icon Co Pty (NZ) Ltd has retained the façade of the heritage-listed Macdonald Halligan Motors Co building between Albert St & St Patricks Square, to be restored & incorporated into the hotel.
94 Feet announced the $250 million project in 2018. It said yesterday it had extended the hotel management agreement with IHG to accord with the Covid-19 delay, and had signed a fixed-price construction contract with Icon Co Pty (NZ) Ltd.
Marketing agency NZ Sothebys International Realty has opened sales for the 13 floors of sky home apartments, which will include a $25 million, over-650m² double-storey 3-bedroom penthouse and a $10 million 330m² 3-bedroom sub-penthouse.
