Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties Ltd, a subsidiary of the Manukau City Council, has hired former Westfield (NZ) Ltd managing director Grant Hirst to help conduct an expressions-of-interest programme for the Flat Bush town centre project.
Mr Hirst is now at Munro Corp Pty Ltd.
Expressions of interest close on Friday 10 November.
Negotiations from this programme are likely to lead to a joint venture with Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties, although the company still has to discuss that with the council.
The Flat Bush area of Manukau is being turned from farmland into a suburb which will contain 40,000 people by 2020. The council has created a masterplan for the 18ha town centre and Tomorrow’s Manukau Properties has launched a marketing campaign in Australia & New Zealand to attract interested participants.
