It took auctioneer Murray Smith 30 minutes & much twiddling of his thumbs this morning before he banged his hammer down for the sale of one apartment. Next up, there were 3 bidders and a sale ensued in a few minutes.
Update: 2 more apartments were sold shortly after yesterday’s auction at Ray White City Apartments, taking sales to 5 out of 7.
The one commercial property on Barfoot & Thompson’s city auction list this morning was sold under the hammer, followed by a slow journey as 8 apartments were passed in. Then, breaking the run at the end of the auction, the last 2 apartments sold.

Ray White City Apartments’ auction today began positively as the first unit sold under the hammer. 4 of the remaining 7 apartments received no bid and bidding was light on the others.
