Emergency committee takes over council business
Auckland Council’s emergency committee – taking over from the governing body’s & its committees’ business for the duration of the Covid-19 lockdown – is scheduled to meet every Thursday through April, all meetings scheduled to open at 10am.
It’s handling all committee business except for the audit & risk committee, which has non-council specialists among its members.
Mayor Phil Goff & deputy mayor Bill Cashmore are chair & deputy chair of the emergency committee, which has a quorum of 2.
