On 16 December, Mr Higgs said interests of an existing substantial shareholder & longtime supporter of the company had committed to subscribe for $500,000 in convertible notes, provided shareholders subscribed for a minimum of $750,000 in the share purchase plan and provided a total of $2 million was raised from all sources. Mr Higgs said Botry-Zen wanted to capitalise on achievements of the last year – production performing above budget, registration in the US opening the way for market development to begin, and interest from parties in Europe seeking to partner with the company for distribution into new areas.
