More subsidence at Clovelly Rd

Published 25 July 2009

A section of land at Clovelly Rd, Bucklands Beach, has dropped more than a metre since Monday and Manukau City Council’s environmental operations group manager, Carole Todd, warned yesterday there was still significant danger. The subsidence has separated the extension at unit 3 116 Clovelly Rd from the main building.

Last September, 5 homes at 114-118 Clovelly Rd were evacuated because of land subsidence. Former Manukau mayor Sir Barry Curtis lives at No 116.
